An Overdue Night Stand Makeover August 2, 2011 DIY, Our House, Thrift Store Finds 2 Comments 4139 As you know, I’ve been slowly working on redo-ing my brother’s space. We had picked up a few pieces for him with the intentions of refinishing them, and I have finally finished them all! It started with the Union Jack dresser, then I moved on to the nightstand. I wanted it to coordinate with the dresser, but not be too matchy. Let me see if I can dig up an old picture… Here it is in the ollllld guest room. You can’t really see the details on it, but it’s in pretty bad shape. I started by painting the whole thing (except the top) Naval by SW. Then I put a light coat of Creamy by SW on just the legs and behind the drawer. The top was done in Creamy only. Some distressing, followed by Antiquing Medium and Natural Wax finished off the piece. To match the hardware on the dresser, I spray painted the drawer pull with ORB. Later this week you’ll get to see the last piece- a bookshelf 🙂 ****Linked up HERE**** 2 Responses Jamie October 7, 2011 SIgh. This is so pretty and I have been DIEING for new bedside tables!
