Upcycling: The Oatmeal Cylinder Vase August 23, 2011 DIY, Floral, Floral Tutorials, Home Decor, Home Decor Tutorials 4 Comments 12123 We go through a lot of oatmeal in this house, and I always think about doing something with those perfectly good cardboard cylinders. Finally it hit me- I could cover one with paper rosettes! Following the same procedure used for my book page wreath, I turned this not so nice cylinder… Into this stunning vase… Of course the cardboard is not watertight, so I just arranged the flowers in a narrower glass vase and plopped it inside my new beauty! It didnt work, lol. I would love to try it again. More recently, my son and I made a rocket out of an oatmeal container and some foam sheets. He loved it.
