Christmas Came Early… November 21, 2011 Thrift Store Finds 4 Comments 3850 …for me 🙂 I was out and about at an estate sale with my friend Amy who loves loves loves china. She spotted a gorgeous set at a great price and offered to buy it for me as part of my Christmas gift. Mike and I never registered for china when we got married, so we’re calling it our third anniversary set. You might recognize the napkin rings as the ones I made awhile back with some twine and a piece of bling. I picked up the cutwork linen napkins from an estate sale, 10 for $8! Last year after Christmas, I saw these red chargers on clearance for $0.50. I bought 6, and they’ve been sitting in my basement since then just waiting for a paint job. Of course I got out my trusty Krylon Oil Rubbed Bronze to handle the job. I’m so happy with how everything has come together. Now I feel like an adult 🙂 If you’re curious, the china is Delux Japan Antoinette. Amy says it’s decent for a beginner like me who is worried about breakage. I have a complete service for 8, plus cream, sugar, and 2 platters. Not bad for $35! 4 Responses Julie November 21, 2011 That’s a great gift! Your place settings look beautiful!
