Ever since I moved the gallery wall to the bottom of the stairs, my poor Glitter Stag has been out of a home.

But, actually the problem was much more severe than homelessness…Glitter Stag actually almost lost his head. And since that’s all he’s got- well you see how serious the situation had become. Homeless and nearly headless, I sent him over to Amy’s house for some paper mache cervicoplasty. Dr. Amy built him a neck to keep his head in place, because that’s just how awesome she is.

Glitter Stag recovered a nicely at Amy’s house, but eventually he got kicked out for leaving glitter everywhere and was sent back to me. Poor guy just can’t get a break. I finally got around to finishing the cosmetics and gave him a new place in the house.

First I covered up the wood plaque to protect it from paint.

Then I sprayed the new neck with white spray paint, trying not to cover the already white/glitter parts. I couldn’t find the glitter I used on him originally, so I just left the neck white for now. Then I put some Strong Stick glue on the back of the neck and taped it in place to dry. Now he’s good as new and adding some glam to the kitchen.

I love how you can see him from the front door!

That’s right Glitter Stag, you watch over that Keurig machine.

Awe, thanks Sandy and Mary Fran! You’re comments make me blush 🙂 When I fixed the stag head, Rachael just said I was a kindergarten-craft-idiot-savant, but now I feel all helpful and important! 😀
