I have the most talented friends. Like seriously, a dream team. They could quit their day jobs and party plan for a living. These ladies went above and beyond to throw me the most beautiful baby shower, with all the little details. I was so grateful for all of the time and effort put into planning and executing this day!

Chalkboard Sign

My dear friends Kayla and Rich offered their cabin-in-the-woods, which made a perfect setting for our adventure themed party. As you may have noticed from our “Nookery” design, we love to think about parenthood as our new and most fun adventure yet, pointed out by this cute hand lettered (by Amy) chalkboard right at the door.

Adventure Themed Baby Shower

I mean, they made a tepee complete with custom handmade bunting (thanks, Tiff!). When I was asked if they could borrow the faux cowhide rug for the party, I had no idea it would be used in such a sweet little gift opening vignette. I love that it was used here and now back in his nookery, it’s an extra special memory.

My friends know I hate pretty much all shower games, so they planned a fun little DIY activity instead.

DIY Iron On OnesiesThey purchased some cute iron-on decals from Etsy and some onesies, and my guests got to make a custom onesie to add to my clothing collection for baby. It was an awesome idea and totally practical (which I love, of course).

Not a single detail was missed – even the drink area oozed charm. Look at the feather napkins! And the paper straws!

Of course the food was on point. We had a variety of brunch-y snacks like fruit, quiche, salad, deviled eggs, chicken salad, mini tarts, and CAKE!

Baby Shower FoodI loved the rustic and natural elements everywhere, and the fact that my bestie Amy brought a set of china to use. Crazy awesome, right?

And no shower would be complete without cake. It’s well known that it’s one of my favorite foods, and also that my friend Kayla is ridiculously talented in this area.

Baby Shower Naked Cake Trio

She made a trio of vanilla cakes with strawberries and lemon bavarian. It was amazing! I kept the teeny tiny one to save in the freezer, maybe we will eat it on his first birthday or some other special occasion (post labor snack? Hmm).

I admit I was a little nervous about having a shower because I actually really hate being the center of attention. But ultimately it was a perfect afternoon spent with great friends who know me so well. I’m so lucky to have an amazing group of women from all stages of my life who came together to support me in this next chapter.Baby Shower Favors

Absolutely adorable! I gave a baby shower for the first time a year or so ago and had so much fun! Now I can’t resist pinning ideas for showers. 🙂
